I Got Featured in the HubPages Weekly Newsletter

I Was Featured
Having been busy with so many things these past few months coping up with life, I’ve never been able to catch up with HubPages’ Hubtivities. When I was still fresh and new, I got interested and got excited by the weekly Hubnugget nominations, hoping that one day, I’d get nominated. Such thing would give a considerable amount of exposure and traffic into my hubpages profile. Unfortunately, hubnuggets are only for newbies, and when I got back and decided to be active in HubPages, I realized I no longer qualify for the weekly hubnugget nominations. I got a bit frustrated knowing that I can never have a hubnugget ever. I carried on with my main purpose here in HubPages – Writing.
To my surprise, this morning, I received the HubPages Weekly Newsletter and saw my profile picture in there. At first, I was puzzled and asked myself “what am I doing in there?” I stared at it for a while and didn’t know how to react. Then, in a little while, when I came to my senses, I realized I was just featured in the weekly newsletter. Wow. My first reaction is to thank our HubPages administration, and I eventually have come up of doing it in a hub.
Thank You HubPages
Well, I just want to thank HubPages for the opportunity of being featured. Of all the people who asked a question, I was somehow selected of having a valid, valuable, and quite a tough question. This made my day, and I hope this will also help encourage my readers to continue writing and be active in our HubPages community.
What a Christmas Gift!
Here’s the question again. If you know a better answer from among the already offered ones, please don’t hesitate to provide us your insights.
Have you also been featured before? If so, why not share it in the comments. Happy Hubbing!

Which name do you prefer to be called on Hubpages? Tots, Rafael or Rael
Congratulations. It's quite a thrill when you find your name and question posted in the newsletter. I have had that honor numerous times by good fortune. Keep up the good work. Blessings, Debby
Thanks Rafael. Maybe you will with lots of activity in the community.
Congratulations, and nice writing. Wishing you the best in all your quests. God Bless. Merry Christmas.
That's just a great question and this is a fun Hub. Congratulations RLCASALME.
I don't think my spirit is asleep when I am. I believe that my spirit is in me...and all I am doing is sleeping. I bet my spirit is having a great time unwinding my knots, resting, trying to give me tips on what and how and where to 'do'...
After a massive cancer op my spirit pranced into my half drowsed state and said "come on, lets play". She was vital and fun...and a gift to me.
All the best.
Congratulations Rafael! A wonderful achievement. I, too was nominated for a hubnugget soon after joining Hubpages over 1 yr ago. You have asked a good question. I wish you great success and joy in writing!

Wow! Look at you. This is just terrific. You sure deserve it. I know that I was one person that answered your question. Keep it up...you may set a new record!

Sir Rafael, ako rin (me too), I got featured! I saw an online (email) newsletter just yesterday and was featured in the same manner as yours. For me it's a great thing being recognized with my question-formulating skills. For me, this meant I am being recognized as someone who has a knack on interrogation. Lol. But seriously, it feels great. Never mind the increase in exposure, readership, and all that. It just feels great that this community gives equal recognition and chances to everyone. :)
I don't know, when did you actually got the newsletter. I got it just yesterday, the date was on a 29th po.
Interesting, I don't even have a Question of the Week section in my newsletter - I just checked! To think of it, I didn't ask any questions. Maybe if you ask a question, the weekly newsletter features your best question asked from that week per individual user? The newsletter is pretty personalized, features your own stats so it makes sense. You get a newsletter which tells you which was the best question that you asked, based on feedback.
That makes sense Global-Chica. :)
The first time I received this I was excited too, and then it kept happening week after week and I was sure people were getting tired of seeing me plastered on the newsletter everyweek. It is good to know that maybe that is not the case, but I can also see where it would be very disappointing.
Yes indeed you have been featured as many of us fellow hubbers get the chance to become known in many ways on hubpages. I was a little more fortunate to have won a hubbnugget award for my article on 'Cloud Computing' when I first joined, which you've just responded to, which actually got me back here to visit you because of your sweet comment there.
These acts of selfless sharing is a result of the hubpages phenomena known as hubtivity as you so eloquently expressed here in your awesome hub @ rLcasaLme.
It goes to show that if your motivated, cooperative, giving, and willing to share with others in many ways. There's definitely a long term benefit, and hubpages is awesome in showing to us this true spirit of community as a whole. I love it here as well. Bravo! for being such a good sport of it all & for promoting the true spirit of community as well as sharing.
Voted up and getting shared everywhere I possibly can on this vast place they call the web, & I think you deserved to be showcased in that news letter there. Some people actually get what's coming & due to them
Congratulations! I once asked a question and never had any answers. Perhaps you'll write a Hub about the "Question" feature!
Congratulations! I am glad to see you have received some fame here on HubPages. Good luck going forward. I wish you the best.
Congratulations!
I remember the both of us were quite confused when that newsletter came out. Hahahaha!
Unusual question, congratulations on getting featured!
Thanks for SHARING your acheivement, it gives others hope.
Oh my, this is awful. I too didn't even discover Hubnuggets until it was too late to have my hubs qualify for hubnugget awards - and I've always wanted to be in the HubPages weekly newsletter - the closest I came to that was today when I saw in the newsletter that somebody's question had been featured and I thought well at least my answer is so far the best on that question, and should anyone go visit the question, they would see my answer at the top as the first one, and perhaps I might get some visitors to my HubPages profile. Although that was sort of like clutching at straws, now hearing that not everybody gets to see that same content in the newsletter is even worse. I found this hub of yours due to looking through HubPages for an idea of how many people actually get the newsletter every week, but I'm still in the dark about that, and now, knowing that not everyone sees the same content in those newsletters, it doesn't even matter. Although I was curious (as to how many people get the newsletter each week) it's not really all that exciting to know that amount anymore, is it?
@rLcasaLme - thanks for the reply - what is working fine now?; What has been updated? Do you mean everyone IS now seeing the same info in the HubPages weekly newsletters?

Congrats on getting featured! I too was surprised to be featured in this week's weekly newsletter and I'm very thankful to the HubPages community. I'm only on HubPages for a couple of weeks now and yesterday found out that I'm a HubNugget WINNER! Woooo hooooo :) That's very encouraging! All the best to you, lRcaseLme!
