Always Been Hesitant

I have always been hesitant in joining a photography training course. I have my DSLR camera's manual for general information and the internet’s supply of tips on how to use my camera properly.

These of course somehow make joining a photography class unnecessary. And, not to mention its usual expensive fees that makes it even more unappealing.

Filipino Digerati Association

Until just recently, when I was informed by a friend that the Filipino Digerati Association (FDA), with the help and collaboration of our Philippine Consulate General (PCG) is conducting trainings especially for Filipinos to help them improve their skills and be more useful contributors to the community.

Filipinos naturally do not stop wanting to learn new skills. The only thing that sometimes hinders them is financial incapability.

They have other priorities that investing money for trainings such as these can no longer be accommodated.

So, the FDA had this brilliant idea of sharing knowledge and skills to help our fellow Kababayans with a really surprising enrollment fee. It was very cheap.

If you can afford a friend a birthday cake, you can definitely afford this. And with the world economy still recovering, firms downsizing looking for better skilled employees, what time would be better than now?

When I heard about it and learned that Photography is one of the training courses offered, I unhesitantly joined. And after attending the first session, I then knew that I did the right thing. I was not disappointed.

Benefits

The following are the benefits you can get from Photography Training Courses that you wouldn’t get by just self study:

  • You will learn all the necessary fundamentals in such a quick pace.
  • You will constantly be motivated to always strive harder by your peers and professors.
  • It will awaken and challenge your inner artistic side.
  • The quality and efficiency of your work improves.
  • You will while training build your own portfolio.
  • You get to meet new friends and will broaden your scope of contacts.
  • It boosts up your photography career.

I Enjoyed It

Honestly speaking, I enjoyed it. My photos have drastically improved. I'm constantly motivated when I see the works of my peers and even my professors’ (I sneak taking a peek at them) as well.

I have learned a lot. I could have learned them by myself, yes, but I could not have learned them in this quick pace. The professors were really approachable and would immediately prompt an answer when asked. They really know their craft very well.

Finally, I have found the art I can abuse. Photography is really a great way of expressing and releasing my always frustrated artistic inner self.

So if you’ll ask me, “Should I invest on a Photography Training Course?” Then I’d give a big YES to that.

Final Note:

These training courses can only help you in the preliminary stages of your career but in no way can assure your success. You are still the key holder to your own success.
